From what I've heard it was a lot of well compensated veteran "performers", some fed silver spoons during and since their maturation into adults, celebrating ancillary means for promoting their brand via albums, some even receiving statues for the most effective and/or provocative videos. I don't pay for TV let alone cable, its 2016. This is like watching an award show for the best cassette A-side. if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2 | |

Didn't watch but I heard that aside from Beyonce (of course) the show was lackluster and only further proved that the VMAs are meaningless and the show's best days have passed. | |

Kanye gave a rambling pointless speech. Beyonce did a big angry production number & changed clothes numerous times Rihanna did numerous numbers & also had numerous costume changes Brittany did her usual Vegas stripper act Lots of other acts did big production performances - nothing special Beyonce won a bunch of awards | |
