Nice! A 70s funk band with a *new* jam that's actually funky.I was really disappointed with Con Funk Shun's new album. It's so nice to see Kool and The Gang keeping the funk alive.Even Vainandy will like this, lol

I like the verses better than the chorus. It's a string melodic track but reminds me of too many r&b hits

Sounds like a Robin Thicke song to me You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I just heard it. I found it simply "OK". Not quite fast enough and kinda bland sounding, I think in part due to not having real drums. I was hoping for something like Chic did a few years ago. Now that's how an old group is supposed to make a new jam. Andy is a four letter word.

. That's it exactly. It lacked funk. If it ain't funk then what the hell is the point of making a song at all? Andy is a four letter word.

Considering their pop track record, this sounds exactly like what I expect them to sound like today. Don't get it twisted these mugs laid the ground rules for 70's funk before they got "r and b skeletons in the closet" and went down the placebo drain after Joanna. I once told Khallis Bell they had put a shine on the funk at that time and he wholeheartedly agreed. Band is on tour now with supporting act Bootsy Collins and Morris Day and the Time. A Keeping The Funk Alive gig.

This tour was just in Charlotte a couple of weeks ago and I hated I missed them but I had tickets to see Mint Condition in another town the next day. I heard Bootsy funked it up but didn't have enough stage time. Don't laugh at my funk

Track OK at best and not very distinctive or memorable. Alas it is closer to their 1980s era than a return to the true horn-driven funk of the 1970s. Sounds like 1980s Kool & the Gang trying to be Justin Timberlake. If you've got funk, you've got style.

I had to turn it off when I got to the part where Puffy starts yelling "If you're sexy and you know it?" in the background... Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

I don't mean to insinuate this is in the same league with Ladies Night, Get Down On It, Fresh, or Misled but I'll take this over the last boring album they put out a few years back.
