I wouldn't exactly call this one New Wave but it's an excellent produced track for Atlantic Starr. It was actually one of the few tracks I liked from their Barbara Weathers run and actually the only one from this particular album. It would have been nice if the Lewis brothers would have allowed Maurice to produce a few tracks for this album. Don't laugh at my funk

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Linda Clifford "Don't Come Crying To Me" from her "I'll Keep On Loving You" album, 1982 Capitol Records. Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

One more! ... "Preppie" Cheryl Lynn! It's a Toni Basil - "Mickey" sound-alike! It's from her "Preppie" album, 1983 Columbia/CBS that contains her big Jam & Lewis hit, "Encore." Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.
