The Mac is Back!

Any Fleetwood Mac fans out there?

A new album is due to be released...April 15th I believe...and they have a new single out, Peacekeeper, that sounds real good. They are definitely back and as good as ever!

They're also going on tour. But I still say it won't be the same without Christine McVie (who has retired from the band).

Can't wait for this one but I'm a little bit dissapointed by Chirstine not being on the record. I guess a Stevie and Lindsey reunion is good enough for now. I notice both Stevie and Lindsey share vocals on "Peacekeeper". Does anyone know who wrote that song? I don't think they wrote many songs together or sang together much. As much as I look forward to this CD, I would rather have the Madonna one a week early and put this one out on April 22nd. Oh well.

Talking about Madonna, whie I've already heard "Peackeeper" twice (both times on differnt light rock sations that play stuff like the new Phil Collins song) but I've only heard "American Life" once! I wonder what the deal with that is! I've been trying to hear AL on the radio since it debuted but nothing!

I've heard Peacekeeper about 4 or 5 times so far...and I just heard the tail end of American Life 2 hours ago.

Lindsey wrote Peacekeeper about 3 years ago. It originally appeared on the ACLU Bill of Rights Benefit CD in 2001--a version he did himself, originally intended for the solo album that never happened, "GIft of Screws." For any die -hard fans that have old Mac demos, "Smile at You" will be on this record. A lot of Mac-ers enjoy the demo of this because it's a VERY ANGRY Stevie from her coked-out days. I've heard the version on the record and isn't quite the same though.

I can't wait to hear this album. Buckingham brings a completely different dimension to Fleetwood Mac and turns them basically from an MOR band into a somewhat darker animal, yet they still retain that innocence on the surface. I hope theres tracks in the vein of Tusk and Tango In The Night On There(the title tracks) as these were awesome.

Wait til you hear Smile at you!! Very TANGO-ish!!! Nice screen name by the way!! I just heard the new version of "Steal Your Heart Away" and I must say Stevie's vocals really add to this song. It's nice to know there are peole like you who support TUSK. That has some of the best Stevie and Chris songs on there!!
