Rick was a MASTER musician, songwriter, arranger, producer, but fell prey 2 WAY TOO MANY drugs. Very sad. Even sadder is the note he went out on with that "I'm Rick James, BITCH!" tagline. I've heard people actually say it and who never even heard his music b4. Had it not been 4 Rick James, there may never have been the gift of Teena Marie. Like I said, "MASTER musician." He knew what he was hearin' was somethin' inCREDIBLE in HER! I'm sure they're both up there now "Throwin' Down!" R.I.P. in Heavenly sobriety, buddy and give Lady Tee a kiss 4 me! <3
