Lauryn Hill has announced a new tour, called the MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling.

She is scheduled to hit the road at the end of August, kicking the tour off at The Mann Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on the 27th. Trinidadian soca artist Machel Montano will be Hill's special guest during that evening. Other special guests will be announced in coming weeks.

In describing the inspiration behind her new tour, Hill says, "The MLH Caravan allows me to continue the theme of unity and celebration of the many facets of cultural and artistic beauty throughout the African diaspora while on tour this summer and fall. In these days of tension, tumult and transition, an exchange of this kind can yield direction, expression, understanding and empowerment as well as connection, self Love and appreciation that hopefully overflows into our respective communities."

I saw her in concert in 1999 and I was really impressed.It was a superb show.Not sure if I'd go see her these days,though

She's cool if you got some good comfy shoes to wait in, some earplugs (because she will make them keep turning it up), some water... shelter if its sunny... umbrella if its rainy... a pillow if the show is a "Late" show.
