when I was.. 7-8 years old.

I distinctly remember buying/listening to "ahh the name is Bootsy baby"

at my aunt's home in Oxen Hill MD.

I mean I played that album TO DEATH.

just wore out the ridges on that album.

are his 2 best albums in my opinion.

just FUNK on top of FUNK on top of FUNK.

Bootsy was just so out there. a big, funky cartoon character.

& of course 1 of the NASTIEST, FUNKIEST BASS PLAYERS EVER.

he is just soooooooooo cool, talanted and funky. He and Larry Graham changed the game when it came to playing the bass and he lived and breathed the funk.

Bootsy's stuff in the 90's ("Zillatron", "Blasters" and the Praxis stuff) is kick ass too.

ABSOLUTELY, Goddess. there are MANY excellent funky bass players.. but for me it starts & ends with BOOTSY & Larry Graham.
