Jermaine Jackson made some great male-female duets, muh gosh!

None of the WHitney Houston and Pia Zadora tracks are here. As I take most people have heard those. These here are album tracks burried inside of out of print or very hard to find albums.

Jermaine's career should be more successful than it is. The dude could've been a primetime writer and session musician in the industry for the past 3 decades; so many stars could have hits penned by him right now.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

It should be. He was a really talented writer and singer. Jermaine doesn't have good work ethic.

He had outstanding work ethic, his career was shut down in 91 after making that song Word To The Badd...Thats what it all comes down to

His discography stopped that year

Anyone can look this up for themselves

The only reason Jermaine, the Son of Joseph, didn't make it big was because Michael got all jelly and boycotted his hitherto superb, hit-ridden career. Michael wanted to show his authoritah and the result was a career written with #137 hits all over it lost.

Michael denying one song of Jermaine's (which he was featured in) to be a hit doesn't equate to him ruining Jermaine's career.

Also, Thriller-era Michael jealous of Jermaine? Lol

I use to get irritated at this excuses for Jermaine but now I just laugh..... Michael was the most famous man on the planet and had the biggest selling album of ALL time during Thriller... I HIGHLY doubt he was jealous of Jermaine LMAO

Jermaine was pretty good singer (and Let's Get Serious is a great album) and I love his songs with Whitney, but lets be honest here MJ was the complete package. Jermaine was a sonet to MJ's supernova!

You seem to be a lightweight so I'll say it without subtilities: I was joking. JOKING.

Jermaine Jackson never went anywhere because he was LAZY. He was/is a sex addict without any moral values who never liked working. He is moderately talented but that's not all. One must work in his craft and Jermaine never liked that. He'd rather be like his father and bang every woman he sees and spend his days making schemes to leech off of his famous brother while convincing himself he is entitled to it because he made Michael Jackson (or so he thinks). He's just like his daddy: Jermaine is Joe n.2. The only reason Jermaine didn't make it big is because he lacks any discernable positive trait to do it.

I'm the lightweight? I'm not the one crying about how a simple post affects my self- esteem.

I appreciate you pointing out that you were joking and I'm sorry for not recognizing you were making a joke but if you're going to make one, maybe you should actually be funny.

I was not crying at all. Once again, you interpreted it the wrong way. Who knew? If affects my self-esteem in the sense that you make me feel smart by comparison. You make me think I am truly a smart person. It wasn't meant as a joke to laugh: it was a joke in the sense of sarcasm. Do you want me to draw you a painting explaining everything? Do you want me to explain it using other words?

Yeah, I took it the wrong way. I'm not the only one so don't flatter yourself.

And the purpose of a joke is to be funny whether it's rooted in sarcasm or otherwise; your sarcastic joke wasn't funny.

Jermaine released 2 albums in 1980 and 1989 (if you count 2300 Jackson Street). Technically there was 2 albums in 1976 too, but the Norman Harris produced one has never been released, other than one song called Good For The Gander. Plus he was working as A&R at Motown during the late 1970s & early 1980s. That's how he discovered Switch & DeBarge.

Jermaine actually had some great tunes and had a pretty good solo career going in the 70s and 80s.For whatever reason,he got lazy in the 90s and his career cooled down, but there is no reason he can't be out there playing dates in small theatres these days.He certainly has enough hits to sing.
