His production and music is like a chocolate torte with ganache and fudge
sauce on top.

In other words: he's too recherche for my taste. Not enough on melody and
too much on arrangement and studiocraft. But I think he's definitely talented
and I'd like to hear some new stuff from him, especially since Prince has passed
and Van Hunt has decided to start sucking - I don't know what's wrong with
that n*gga these days but he's got to get it together.

Anyways, if Taylor never releases another album, welp . . . so much for that!

Thanks for posting.

I must be one of the few that likes Lewis II more than LT. It was the perfect intersection of poppy shit with the dark stuff.

But my absolute favorite are his LT-era b-sides. I compiled them and called it "Lewis 3".

I agree about Lewis II, it was that album and all the b-sides and extras that made me a die-hard fan!

...

So good to see this interview--I really just wanted to know what happened when he left the biz--it was abrupt, and all we had was rumors to go by.....

I prefer Lewis II as well.

He certainly seems happier not doing music anymore.
