Corinne's The Heart Speaks in Whispers I am really liking Corinne's new album. After this huge Prince tragedy tumbling down her songs and music are like a BLAST of fresh air. The deluxe version offered with the preorder has 4 extra tracks. Nice. Thank you Corinne!

I heard it last nite! Reminds me of Linda Lewis/Syreeta Wright/Minnie Riperton, but with a more modern slant. Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

I find her music too sad. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Some of her topics in her first two were saddening: loss of romance; loss of spouse; railing against neglect. I feel that she spent a bit of time projecting these elements through her music. But this time her focus is on something else, and she sounds ebullient!

That song reminds me a little bit of late 80s Wendy & Lisa. > I would have loved to have been CBR's site attendant on the video shoot for that single!

It's a good album! Her style is subtle, so it takes a few listens before it starts to grow on you (at least me). There is diversity in the moods it evokes, not just sad this time around.
