Madonna on Jimmy Fallon June 9th

http://www.billboard.com/...mmy-fallon

Clean off your keyboards, pop some corn and break out your pitchforks as Madonna visits Jimmy Fallon tomorrow. Other guests include President Barack Obama.

She really wanted to meet the President, didn't she?

It's quite funny how she dropped everything just to be on this show to meet him, when she didn't have a new album out or anything to promote! But just randomly decided to do Borderline which wasn't even on her last tour.

I love how starstruck she seems to be with the President.

She gets so much criticism but I love how actually down to earth she seems to be. Most superstars wouldn't drop everything just to be on some show to meet the President.

I think she has become more loose and relaxed as a performer. She used to feel like she had to rehearse everything to death or she couldn't perform. But now she just kind of goes out and does it!

She definitely covered up for the President. No sexy outfits for Barack!

Borderline, a synth pop classic, was written and produced by one person. It was Madonna's first top ten hit in 1984. Its lyrical content, her poignant delivery, and the beautiful synthesizers are unforgettable. Current #1 hit One Dance has eleven writers and four producers and is basically an advertisement for Hennessy. I wish people still made popular songs like Borderline. I also like that it is a cute song about literally having a mental breakdown.

I would write songs and ask her, "What do you think of this?" "Physical Attraction" and "Borderline" were done specifically during the production process and for her. They weren't demo songs that I was shopping around. - Reggie Lucas

It also has a wider appeal to non-fans than some of her often played hits.

True. But the flip side is most really big Madonna fans would probably not name it as one of their all time favorite songs by her.

But it's nice to hear since it hasn't been performed on her tours as much as some other hits like Holiday and Like A Prayer.

nod Madonna is always appropriate when she needs to be.

Whenever any sexy female artist does something inappropriate, defenders always point at Madonna's provocative antics " look what SHE gets away with". But Madonna usually knows the right place and the right time.

I just watched the show and Madonna looks kinda like Dick Tracy era (hair & makeup). Obama slow jammed the news.

That was a really good performance. She needs to do something more organic like that on her next album and not so electronic.

I enjoy her dance stuff but it would be an interesting change of pace. A little bit more mature but not boring.

Dull. Man, the Roots aren't that great of a band, and they're supposed to be one of the best?

Better vocals than more than a week ago, and I do like the reworked almost completely new "Borderline.

At least they didn't do "Holiday" like this (her real signature hit).
