The new Radiohead album was officially announced on their web site complete with a tracklisting. Rumor has it a link to download the album is also available somewhere within their official message board / web site. The tracks are already starting to pop up at various places so there may be truth to this rumor!

I heard a couple of the tracks and they sound quite cool. Along the lines of Kid A but a little more melodic and easier to digest I suppose.

There's also alot of bogus mp3s floating around that play the first 30 seconds or so of the song then go into complete silence.

I can't wait for this album to drop

I've been listening to it for the last few days. Its true the sound is half OK Computer, half Kid A, but I gotta say...

The songwriting is average. Great sounds and effects, but they are close to going up their own arse. Much as I love the older stuff, they are losing it.

Q Mag will give it 4 or 5, then talk about how bad it was in two or three years time.

There, There is great, so is Punch up at a wedding, but there is a real lack of songwriting. Just half baked melodies, over very original sounding backing tracks...

Play the new album back to back with stuff like Creep or Exit from a movie and you'll understand what I mean.
