Personally I prefer U2's music from the Achtung Baby/Zooropa/Pop era. They went kinda crazy from all the success & went off the wall a bit. | |

As preachy as you think BONO is, there are were others that have done worse , but also alot of the later material now is NOT about the "world" its about him and his loss of his father, there relationship, his relation with his own family. And also alot of the latest album is all about the band starting its roots and also about Larry and his son. So i think the days of preachy were back in the Achtung Joshua days. I think U2 are a great band. Like any others that span a 30+ year career, they have some albums that are fantastic and others that are just for the diehard fans. They have made some great music over the years. | |
