Alternative artist Neon Indian does a pretty faithful rendition of Pop Life. IMO they nailed the synthesizer sound.

Wouldn't it be awesome if every cool band put out Prince covers for purchase or streaming ? Blood Orange could do Paisley Park, Twin Shadow could do Electric Chair, etc. It could go on forever !!
