"Summertime,Summertime" is so insanely catchy......it's got a really infectious chorus/hook.That's one thing I love about freestyle music.You hear these songs and you can't get the hook outta your head.She followed this song up with another great single called "Let's Go".

Wow, I had totally forgotten about this gem. I used to be a big fan of socalled Freestyle music .Was it really called Freestyle or was that just a name that the artists in question never liked, like the Neo Soul genre that the Neo Soul artists never liked?

Mos Def did some sort of remake of this song about a decade ago.

I should listen to this kind of music more often. I still have all the old Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam cassettes and vinyl, and Fonda Rae.

The only one I wasn´t really into was Stevie B. For some reason he wasn´t really my cup of tea, and a bit too simple for my taste.

I see Lisa Lisa on that poster. What happened to her band Cult Jam? Spanador? Who was the other guy? Mike?

Yeah,I would suggest that you listen to freestyle more often.The music is fun,catchy and really danceable.Check out some music from Expose,Noel,Trinere,and Sweet Sensation.Good stuff!

Lisa Lisa hasn't toured with Cult Jam in years.She's billed as a solo act...just her and a few dancers.
