Sinead O’Connor is missing and authorities believe she might be suicidal.

The “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer, 48, went for a bike ride in the Chicago suburb of Willmette early Sunday afternoon and hasn’t been seen since, reports TMZ.

O’Connor was last seen on a motorized bike with a pink basket dressed in a black parka, black leather bands and an Ireland sweatshirt, according to the website. She was reportedly classified as “missing suicidal” in the alert released by police.

In November, the singer revealed that she had “...verdose” in a disturbing message posted to her official Facebook account.

A request for comment from O’Connor’s representatives was not immediately returned.

Whilst it is clear that she has huge mental issues and I genuinely hope she is found safe, maybe one way to help her mindset would be to avoid all media, including social media. It's certainly not helping her, that's for sure.

I've always felt for Sinead and thought she's gotten a bad rap in a lot of cases, but after the shit she said about Prince, I don't have it in me to feel sorry for or worry about her anymore.

She's been found, thank god.

And yeah, anyone slagging her right now deserves a real special place in hell. She's got legit mental health issues.

Yeah, I mean when someone has a known history of imbalance, and might not be totally taking care of themselves, you have to take what they say and what they do with a grain of salt. It was obvious, and I've said this to others, that her outbursts about Prince were possibly not all level headed comments.

What exactly is she publicizing with this "publicity stunt"? Her next facebook rant? She has no upcoming anything; tours, albums, not even interviews. She isn't that kind of celebrity, never has been.

-- No one said she did not have legit medical issues but it appears Prince had them as well and the media is raking him over the coals making him out to be some crack head. It is not fair that she gets pass and can trash him.

Exactly.This feels like a cheap publicity stunt.What really pisses me off is....we haven't heard anything about Sinead O'Connor in recent years.But then Prince dies and suddenly she pushes herself back in the spotlight.She's using his death to get headlines for herself.I'm sorry but this witch gets no sympathy from me,mental issues or not.

---- We are not in a public forum making accusations that we cannot substaniate. That is what Mrs. Conner is doing. What is infuriating is the media giving credence to the crazy things she is saying and just making about 75% of the stuff up about Prince. You can bet that if the painkillers did not kill him there will no retraction.

I fully agree that the media should stop reporting on her and the nonsense she is coming out with. That doesn't mean we should be making personal condemnations of her.

Well as long as you're sorry. You're wrong by the way, she has been in the spotlight on the org constantly for the past few years and she was all over the wider media when she was having that spat with miley cyrus as well.

Based on the blind, judgemental, non understanding, unsympathetic crap people are coming out with her she's leaving herself with the worst legacy possible in the public eye. I do wish she'd step away from facebook.
