I looked up Laura Mvula because she's from my hometown, and because of the Prince connection. Absolutely blown away by her music, but does anyone else think the guitar on this (Overcome) sounds soooo Prince? Not just in style, but in technique too. I think it's supposed to be Nile Rodgers, but wow!

I love her debut album. I think this new one, which comes out next month will be bigger.

As for the guitar, I think it sounds like signature Niles rhythm guitar to me. Niles is extremely talented and was respected by Prince while he was living.
