Fans of Madonna & Bruce Springsteen should pray like never before! This is real talk. Madonna & Bruce are the two remaining 80s major pop music icons left standing since Michael, Whitney, and Prince are not here.
So far, I have no doubt that Bruce is going to be OK. Madonna?!? I'm not so sure yet. I have my reasonable doubts that I'll keep to myself [unless you ask me via orgnote at your own risk!] for the time being.

Well, I know George Michael doesn't get much props round here, but I love him 2 and that's the one I'm worried the most. As for Madonna I think she'll be fine! Bowie, GM, MJ, Madonna and, of course, Prince were always my favourites. It's beyond sad that more than half of them are gone. |

I was thinking about the 80s Triad (Michael/Prince/Madonna). Bruce & Whitney makes its a convincing argument that it was always the 80s Five All-Stars .

As long as George sticks with the and not mess around with anything else, he'll be OK.

I hate to say it and sound so morbid but I've had similar thoughts about the following people...
Axl Rose
Madonna
Bobby Brown
George Michael
The Boss, I'm not too worried about. He seems really healthy.
I can't take any more people dying. It's too much. This has got to be the worst year in music that I can remember:( |

Well, Bruce became developed a music following in the 1970s after "Born To Run" came out. He has a decade on Prince but he's still out there performing 3.5 hour shows without a break. Madonna is still an in shape workaholic but the rate that these music legends are disappearing leaves one wondering about their longevity and one's own mortality. Better go see 'em perform while you still can. I saw Madonna last year and Bruce this year. I hope they're around for many more to come. I don't know about Bruce, because I don't follow him that closely. But I'm not worried about Madonna. She's very healthy and doesn't abuse drugs, illegal or prescription. She's knows how to pace herself and take breaks.
My mom is 86 and still going strong! Why wouldn't Madonna be the same? I think she will outlive me for sure! |

I was thinking the same thing more out of sadness that fact.
But women tend to live longer lives than men, Madonna is very health conscious, works out/yoga eat/sleep well doesn't smoke etc
But in general even with Bruce, how death moves is a mystery, a bodies check out time is hard to calculate.
And we have the wonderful Betty White still kicking in her 90s. She said the secret is to not have kids lol

Your genetic history can play a part, too. Bruce's mom Adele is nearly 90 years old and she was dancing with him on stage in New York recently. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

You took the words right out of my mouth. There are many more that came after them in the 1990's and 2000's that will leave this world before Madonna, Bruce and many other 80's icons will. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

I was thinking back to the tapes my family had dubbed. One from 1984 had Purple Rain on one side, and David Bowie's Let's Dance on the other. One from 1983 had Thriller on one side, and Culture Club's Colour By Numbers on the back. So I've been thinking about Boy George.
Also, George Michael because I was reminded of Wham!
Don't worry about Boy George. He's likely to live to 122 because he's so bitchy. He will be 122 still telling his fans he's waiting for the "right time" to release the new Culture Club album they paid for on Pledge Music in 2014.
Not sure about George Michael though! |

But Prince's death is such a genuine shock to me that I don't think even Madonna's death (God forbid) would shock me now. |

Speaking like a true agnostic, I do not know how to respond to that. I do not have all of the answers at the moment. But what I do know is that praying is a good idea "just in case".

CORRECTION: 13 days [April 15 - April 31] of so called blood sacifices to Baal.
Isn't it ironic that Passover was on April 21-22 for 2016? Normally, Passover is always on the same week as Easter/Ishtar Sunday. The only exception is when it is on the year of the 13th month on the holy calander. It just so happens that 2016 is that year.

And lets not forget that two original members of The E Street Band had died in recent years, meaning Clarence Clemons & Danny Federici.

I'm one of the biggest overprotective fans of Phil Collins. The first time those assholes from Oasis were dissing Phil, I was one of the first to say they need to because Phi's music entertains me. Even today, I still dance to Sussudio, In The Air Tonight, & Don't Lose My Number.
