KISS is in there now.
There is a awful band which is hugely overrated.
Whoa...I totally missed them going in! And they may not be everyone's cup of tea, but they deserved it a long time ago, simply for the impact they had on the industry. Same as Miss Jackson Make it so, Number One... |

What are your reasons for this? I don't see them inducting her in before Janet or Whitney or even Mariah. |

I was thinking with all the uproar about the class of 2016 – who do you think will breeze through and get into the prestigious Rock & Roll hall of fame in their first year of eligibility (or close enough)
My picks are
- Beyonce
- Jay Z
- Coldplay
- Kanye West
- Adele (she’s more credible than Whitney & Mariah to many in the industry)
Possibly:
- Lauryn Hill (solo debut)
- Justin Timberlake
I don’t necessarily think all these artists are worthy - but they are rated in the industry
Beyonce - They may look at her like Diana Ross and Janet Jackson. Who are not in. I actually think Destiny's Child has a better shot than Beyonce solo.
Jay-Z- Should be first ballot
Coldplay - Possibly.
Kanye West - Have to see how current Hip-Hop is judged. We'll no in a few years when Pac, Wu-Tang, Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z are all eligible.
Adele - No
Lauryn Hill - No
Justin Timberlake - No PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever

I still truly think these 'artists' have a good shot of getting in at first nomination. Like Green Day Timberlake is a R&R Hall of fame darling - they maybe biased when nominating him and Adele has had 2 mega-sellers that saved the music industry (financially speaking) plus she has more critical acclaim than Streisand, Dion, Houston and Carey - kinda like a Dusty Springfield credibility that could help her get in easily
However, I will change my initial picks to:
- Radiohead (how the hell could I forget them!!!! I would assume they get in 25 years after ‘Pablo Honey’ was released i.e. 2018)
- Pearl Jam (it’s a given for 2017)
- Foo Fighters
- Eminem (I’m sure Gene Simmons will have no objection with him getting in)
- Amy Winehouse (deservedly so)
- Beyonce (unfortunately - her and her team will ensure she gets in ASAP)
- Jay Z
- Beck
- Kanye West
10. Adele
11. Timberlake (by default)

I hear you, but this is a hall of Fame. She's made hit after hit and she's one of the biggest stars of her generation. She's the millenials' Madonna and Janet, and when they induct her -- maybe with Jay-Z on the same slate -- it will sell.
That being said, who's to say that J, W or M don't get inducted before Bey? Bey has several years to go before she's even eligible. I see one, maybe two of those 3 getting in during that time. There's always going to be a "X should get in before Y" debate. The Hall probably LOVES that.
