The Temptations or Luther Vandross? Since I Lost My Baby
NOTE: I decided to revive my thread that I did on this song, since I am unable to find the original thread.

Luther Vandross. Luther all day, any song. He even sang "knocks me off my feet" better than Stevie Wonder and I never like any Stevie Wonder remakes better than the original.
.
[Edited 4/8/16 1:24am] “It means finding the very human narrative of a man navigating between idealism and pragmatism, faith and politics, non- violence, the pitfalls of acclaim as the perils of rejection” - Lesley Hazleton on the first Muslim, the prophet.

The Temps for me. All the flavors and the differing vocal harmonies do it for me. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Normally,I would say that the original is the best, but Luther was a master at remaking songs and truly making them his own.His version of "Since I Lost My Baby" has a dramatic, soulful sadness that truly rivals the original version.

Yeah, Luthor was great at remakes Especially on his albums from 1981 thru 1991. I always looked forward to that.

It took me awhile before I truly embraced Luther and realized how great he really was

Luther would take a well-known hit song and make you *forget* about the original version.Look what he did with "Superstar"....he totally transformed that song into a soulful masterpiece! Not just any artist could do that.
