Jeff Beck new lp - dropping July 15th named LOUD HAILER British guitar legend drops his first album in six years called LOUD HAILER, which is a Brit expression for a bullhorn (megaphone), Beck's new album will have contributions from the female duo of Carmen Vandenberg anbd Rosie Bones (who have a Britsih group called Bones). Vandenberg is a guitarist and Bones is a singer. His USA tour will start on July 19th and have the afore-mentioned ladies along with Rhonda Smith on bass and Jonathan Joseph on drums. His five week tour is a co-headline tour with Buddy Guy.

Mojo magazine reviewed a book on him last month (shockingly this month they didn't have Prince as the main cover star!). Bit pricey as I think it was signed. I'd go check but I'm in bed. Anyway saw Beck a few years ago. Without doubt the most accomplished guitarist I've ever heard. Truly one with his guitar. I've been playing for 30 years and just stood there, mouth agape and mind bewildered by his talent. Easy to see why he is the guitarist's guitarist. | |
