how is it an assumption when it was confirmed by et? janet gives them exclusives, they announced she is pregnant the same night they showed her behind the scenes video, the producer of entertainment tonight personally tweeted her congratulating her, so did missy and many others of her close friends. far as knowing she was pregnant when she made the announcement video, a woman is not gonna announce to the world she's trying to have a baby, and if she was using a surrogate her doctors wouldnt put her on bed rest. im not sure about the tour either but according to her and live nation they will resume next year, i will just wait and see what happens. if she start back up late summer or fall of 2017 i can see that, she is probably due sometime fall 2016.

she already said it from her lips, people were confused because they focused on the 'planning our family' part, its the way she worded it. she obviously gave et the ok to confirm she is pregnant, janet has been tweeting away since last week, news of her pregnancy is all over and she has done nothing to stop it. when they came up with the cancer story she shut it down. et released her official statement announcing she was married too.

I kinda agree, it kinda technically has not officially been confirmed. Janet released a video insisting that she was starting a family. She never said she was pregnant and then ET said "sources" told them Janet was pregnant that is not really a reliable source being Janet herself technially did not say this. I am just waiting to see how it all plays out.

She pretty clearly spelled it out in the Facebook video at the begining of April when she said she had doctors orders to rest up. And last week on twitter she re tweeted an article that stated that her pregnancy had been confirmed.

Nope when she said doctors orders meaning the doctor told her to calm her tits, then it should be easy to put two and two together.

We know she is a private person so she said it the best way she wanted to present herself until she was sure enough

In a case like this, fans deserve to know the real reason why she abruptly canceled multiple dates. Are you kidding me? We are not her family or friends. We are consumers who paid money, hotel stays, took off of work to her in concert and she canceled multiple dates without giving any explanation and then when she cancels the America leg she gives a vague video insisting she wants to start a family in the middle of a tour? She is a professional and had an obligation. I am a huge Janet fan but I often see to many excuses here for her odd behavior. If this was the case she should have been upfront from the very beginning. I will believe it when I see it.

Im glad they got refunds but you re right when many spent money on flights and hotel stays. She should have been like, "chile i done got knocked up and the doctor said I caint! i pologize!"

^ AGREE. Its not like she is releasing a PR statement to the media or conducting an interview. She is addressing HER FANS, people that brought tickets to go to HER concert! She definitly owes us better.

Actually I`m more worried about societal attitudes towards being pregnant, older and secretive than janet herself by now, even outside this board in fact. She`s doing just fine I`m sure. I`m genuinely sorry you didn`t get to see her but I hope it happens someday.

Once she mysteriously fail "ill" she should have simply said that she was pregnant period. She should have directly said she was pregnant and had to unfornately cancel the tour. I think fans would have respected that more versus cancelling the European tour BUT only performing in Dubai THEN myteriously cancels the US leg? sorry how old are you 12 seriously ? it's not unprofessional at all its what's people do period nobody tells people they are pregnant as soon as they pee on the stick seriosuly, people wait to announce pregnancy after the first trimester espeically after they risk of miscarriage goes down , espically Janet who is just by age alone is high risk. can you imagine going hey I am preganant , than have to go around and tell eveybody you just have a miscarriage seriosuly? and just because people are fans doesn't entitled to eveything, the only thing people are entitled to are refunds for the concert ( which they are getting) sorry like it not but people who traveling to see a concerte are taking a risks period it could canceleld ( which is why I don't unless) its a city I am going to already or want to go)

Nope. Apparently she didn’t, but yet that didn’t stop her from scheduling and selling tickets for a tour she most likely full well knew, could be scrapped, because she was trying to get pregnant. I doubt that at almost 50 she just got pregnant by accident. Especially not since she supposedly was trying for some time (not sure if that is true though). What if that procedure in january had to do with her trying to get pregnant? If it was simply a throat operation, like what was suggested by media, why be so secretive about it? She could have just mentioned it, it’s nothing extraordinary for a singer, it falls in line with her job. But really it looks like she was trying to have the cake and eat it too. Trying to get pregnant, if that works, then just cancelling the tour and if it doesn‘t, just continuing on with the tour and the way it played out jerking around thousands of people, who made plans around her tour.

And really, not everyone has the luxury to see their favourite star in their hometown. Some do have to travel to make it happen. And since not everyone is a millionaire and things are cheaper if you book in advance, some do have to take the risk of getting stuck with nonrefundable costs by booking in advance. So really, don’t blame the fans.

I’m not saying that Janet was in an easy position. I do get that time is running out and if she really wants children, she should rather do it now than later, but to me, the whole way it was handled just looks amateurish at best and selfish at worst on her part. If your plan is to become pregnant, don’t schedule a tour for the same time.
