hey, whatever happened to the Black Eyed Peas? Where is Fergie's solo album? yeah,I know they went on a hiatus after their last album, but I had been hearing all these recent rumors that they were working on a new album. The plan was for Fergie to release a solo album first (a single,"L.A. Love",was released last year),then the group's album would follow shortly thereafter.Have these plans been put on hold? Anyone know what's going on?

They released a song last summer without Fergie called Yesterday. It was closer to their Kim Hill era stuff. Basically it was them doing lines based on old rap songs. They did an interview around then too. Taboo released a solo song a few months ago You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I remember being confused as hell when I first saw the Elephunk cd in the store. I was like when the hell did they have a female in the group. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

They've been in hiding for like five years now so they're likely collecting sounds and themes to appropriate and bastardize for a new album. Five glorious years.

I hope they stay where ever they are.

I wonder what happened with "L.A. Love (La La)" featuring YG.

I saw it as a one-off re-branding without Fergie. Whatever BEP does next, I believe Fergie has parted ways with the group.

10yrs between your Freshman Album & Sophomore Album is TERRIBLE...Who Fergs think she is, Sade or somebody? I take it she married a Rich Dude after the Solo Album dropped and she Living Large...A Lazy Female Singer will look for ANY reason to stay out of the studio and shop for shoes...

I read very recently they are planning a comeback, so I've been curious about this myself. After their last putrid album was widely criticized, everyone wanted them to piss off so they did, will.i.scam has been steadily crafting the last few years though and he's been spotted around clubs with recorder in hand lately ready to "sample" the freshest beats, so there must be something in the pipleline. In MI Magazine they said the Peas are actually in the studio and had finished 8 songs or something already. It's all very hush hush, but rumour is that it's a concept album driven by the following themes:
- How futuristic their beats sound - What drinks they are sipping on presently - Answering their 'haters' - Not-will.i.am raps about his swagger and his way with the ladies - How much money they are making - Apple computers - Tai-bo is just happy to be there I'm afraid of Americans. I'm afraid of the world.

It's interesting (and frustrating) that they decided to take s "hiatus" right when I began to like them

will.i.am is apparently some type of interactive media guy, and did something or was involved in something called will.i.apps (i saw this on TV). i have no idea what these apps do and if he plans to do more things in this area..... instead of music.
