Legends of the Old School

Has anyone here been to one of these shows?

It's coming to my town, but I'm wondering how many songs each performer does and how long the concert will be as $98.50 seems a bit much for seats that are far away from the stage.

Performers include many of my favorites ... Bell Biv Devoe, Lisa Lisa, Rob Base, Tone Loc, TKA, 69 Boyz, Kid N' Play and DJ Laz.

I've heard of Tone Loc and I could even name one of his songs but I wouldn't pay nearly 100 quid to see him.

Each performer is going to perform three or four of their biggest hit singles.

Lisa Lisa will be appearing at the show I'm going to,and I'm pretty sure that she will perform "I Wonder If I Take You Home","Can You Feel The Beat" and "Head To Toe" (and/or "Lost In Emotion").

Bell Biv Devoe have at least three hit singles that they will perform. Some of those other acts may only do one or two songs.Depends on how many major hits they had.

These shows typically start at 7:30 PM and last until 11:00 PM.

Wow! I only paid $67.00 for a floor seat in the 10th row for the show that I'm going to.

Thank you for the info, much appreciated.

Should be a good show, but I kinda wish there were less acts and more songs from the bigger names ... especially BBD, Lisa Lisa, and Kid N' Play. I'd give anything to hear Lisa Lisa perform "Behind My Eyes", love that song.

I think she may also perform "All Cried Out"...maybe as a duet with a backup singer. That was a huge hit.

Thanks ... yes it will be fun, especially because I have never seen any of these acts in person.

And I was a HUGE Lisa Lisa and Kid N' Play fan. I'll have to get used to Lisa Lisa's lower voice. lol

a word of advice: if Midnight Star ever comes to your area,go see them!! They still kick ass in concert!! You'll be on your feet, singing and dancing through their entire set.

It must be a sign of my age perhaps, but I am really starting to enjoy these "golden oldies" reviews that go on for hours and don't cost that much... razz lol But, then again, I also love music festivals where I get to hear acts, old and young, that I've never heard before...and plenty of new music. wink

I feel the same way smile I enjoy these concerts tremendously.I also feel like, with these shows, you get more for your dollars because you have all these artists on the same bill....on a show that's gonna last for 3 and a half hours...all for less than $100!
