"There you go telling me no again, there you go, there you go". Used to love me some Keith Sweat. But hands down, Christopher Williams' "Dreamin'" is the single most stand out masterpiece song of the movie. Everytime I hear that song, it immediately takes me back to that time. nod
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

New Jack City had an $8 Million dollar budget and raked in $50 Million @ the box-office. Director/Actor Mario Van Peebles produced/directed many B-movie flops and he never gave us a Part 2...I have not seen the flick in probably over a decade, I need to watch it again...

I rewatched it again a few years ago and that was my 1st time in decades watching it in it's entirety. I was taken aback at how bad the movie was- the dialogue was corny, the storyline didn't flow, and the acting (except Wesley and Judd Nelson) was generally bad. That said- I didn't care because this movie was a moment and an era that I wouldn't trade for anything and the soundtrack still sounds dope as hell all of these years later.

The 90's produced the best Music EVER...We'll NEVER see a decade like that again, NEVER...I have to check the STARZ-black guide and see if NJC is gonna air anytime soon...Mario Van Peebles is another good actor its just that Hollywood has always preferred to take chances on Pretty-White-Boys...
