I'm assuming few people here have heard of dvsn or listened to them since there has been no post regarding their debut album "SEPT 5TH" that came out two weeks ago (on Tidal 1 week ago).

Anyway, dvsn is a duo singed with Drake's label OVO Sound that seems to be a sort of neo soul/RnB group that might be the kind of thing some of yall would really like. I think They're fantastic.

The duo, or at least the producer Nineteen85, clearly has been influenced a lot by Prince and and other similar artists. They have a remix of Aaliyah's "One in A Million" on top of the guitar intro from Purple Rain (not on SEPT 5th), and I'm almost sure that the drum intro on "Another ONe" (on SEPT 5th) is a slowed down sample of the drums from She's Always in My Hair. I think they must have Prince's permission for both of these since "One in a million" has been on youtube and soundcloud for a while now, and "Another One" is on an official release.

It's funny though.............I can always tell when I hear a push button production.
