I've slept on Madvillainy. Will have to check it out this weekend. For me, Digable Planet's "Blowout Comb" gets the win. Its an album where its hard to distinguish between the sample and the live instrumentation. This is what you want...This is what you get.

Man I forgot about Galliano - used to love this album back in the day! Another one to dust off! We could veer into some trip-hop ala Massive Attack - could also be considered Jazzy Hip-Hop... ~Shakalaka!~..... ~Mayday!~

The Hue just released a new album called Aurora. A couple of the songs were released already as singles only. thehuelife.com You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Technically not Jazz Hip-a-de-Hop - But superb UK Hip-Hop - If nothing else for the lyric.. - "I check a Muslim, I check a Christian...with all the fightin' and fussin' the point- we all I think we are all missing the point... we all worship the same God...and in the end we are all struggling to fight hard!..." - Peace Hx -
