To let U know he is not taken that seriously to be the superstar prince is. Maybe his next album, that he is working with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis on, will finally put him in that position, that he so craves to be at. He needs his own sound.

Wow, he's working with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis huh? I guess he's really trying to get to the next level!

Also he still is no prince. He would need to put in more longevity to reach that level Plus he needs to stop his addictions first. It will catch up to him sad if he doesn't.

Why do you keep bringing up Prince? I never compared Bruno to him.

I actually disagree with this.

I think he has the charisma of a super star. He HAS It. His very talented (multi talented), has catchy songs, has that old skool flair, is handsome, has a charismatic personality and is very charming. His half time was much higher than a couple of other overrated acts of today than shall remain nameless. He also has hits of his own and is know for his music and performances. He is very likable off stage and seems down to earth. I think he has it in him to be more than what he is but he has came a LONG ways and is doing very well imho. Who would have thought the underground singer who sung the hook on BOB's "Nothing on you" would be headling the Superbowl.

[Edited 2/24/16 20:06pm]

Ya, he is likeable but he doesn't have that something that inspires great devotion like other stars. He has come a long way tho.

I agree.

I respectfully disagree with the commenter that says Bruno Mars has "IT"...i find his whole persona/swag/presence to be forced and contrived, and unoriginal...he brings nothing new or creative or relatable to the game... seems like he is being forced on the public in the same way Kevin Hart is... theyre both increasingly annoying to my eyes and ears

I agree about Kevin Hart. This guy has to be the LEAST funniest comedian I have EVER seen. I don't understand why he's famous at all. Do people not have taste? I remember about 4 years ago I was at a friend's house and they decided to pop in a Kevin Hart DVD. It was the most agonizing 45 minutes of crappy comedy. I don't remember how I was able to get them to stop the DVD but I couldn't take it anymore. I didn't laugh even ONE time. I just couldn't understand how that dude became famous.

Yea he is another one that is very overrated too. Can you believe this dude sells out arena's? He is NOT funny at all. I think this social media age has made certain celebrities appear more bigger than what they are. Alot of the popularity is really a result of marketing, good PR and not based on true talent or quality.

I agree. I remember when he came to my city I couldn't BELIEVE that he was at the venue that he was performing in. I just can't fathom why anyone would spend money to hear him on stage for two hours. He's just not funny to me at all. Yes, I also agree that social media has a lot to do with it as well as PR/Marketing. I mean, I just saw on Ellen this week those two teenagers who are "internet stars" because they made a Vine video of just following each other around saying, "Damn Daniel" all day....Fame is cheap these days.

I don't know about being the biggest whatever, but I'd like to see him find his own signature sound and style beyond the teen heart throb level.

Everyone knows "Uptown Funk" and that the singer is Bruno Mars, even though it is Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars. I think that is a testament to Bruno's current star power.

I like that so far in his career, he just disappears from the public eye when he's not promoting a record or performing. Adele and Pink do the same thing. Entertaining is their job, not being a celebrity, so there's no point in turning up to events just to keep up a profile if it's not necessary. Their talent speaks for itself.
