So how would you describe Bruno Mars' status at the moment? Last time the orgers have discussed Bruno Mars' music, talent and etc... It was a few months after the release of Unorthodox Jukebox.

I still don't "get it". FOOLS multiply when WISE Men & Women are silent.

I think Bruno is talented and out of all his peers, I like him the most BUT he still lacks the charisma of a superstar although there is no denying he is one of the biggest names in music today. ~Time Spent Learning is a Time Never Wasted~

I second this. He sings, dances, plays instruments, produces and writes; Bruno is easily the most well-rounded artist of this era and possesses a strong nostalgic charm which many appreciate in today's musical climate.
Despite all that however he still isn't the top star (yet). Bruno is a Top 5 2010's artist, Top 10 at the absolute least, is young and still has a lengthy career ahead of him where I see him reaching the absolute peak of pop stardom. Presently, he's still climbing that mountain. [Edited 2/24/16 10:04am] [Edited 2/24/16 10:42am]

Hasn't he kind of disappeared from the media?

Oh, fuck, yeah. The Superbowl appearance. I overlooked that one.

He is very cool and his music too. This third album must come as a kind of graduation and it's has to prove that he's got all what it takes to be an icon.

He basically has no competition right now and given that most folks are basically being inundated with trap music or cheap pop music (Katy Perry) he's basically a breath of fresh air. He plays instruments, writes song and is a "song and dance" man. So, there aren't many pop stars doing that right now. It's just a matter of timing really. Trolls be gone!

The same can be said for Adele although her breed of pop star is more common than that of Bruno. Then again Gray doesn't "get her" either...

Well, I can't say that I've listened to a lot of Adele's music (I haven't) but I also don't "get" her. I have a few theories as to why she's famous. Perhaps she's a novelty because there aren't many larger size European women who are promoted in music. She also indirectly benefited from the fact that Amy Winehouse is no longer with us. I think if Amy were still alive nobody would buy Adele's music. Trolls be gone!

Do they have talent? Yes. Both have material as bland as stale bread. FOOLS multiply when WISE Men & Women are silent.

he's talented but I need work from an artist, two albums tells me ZERO about you, Of course he's talented, but I wanna hear some growth musically to become an artist, I mean cutting a record every four years and you are a new artist in this climate where artists don't elevate each other they more or less just all do the same thing, put out a record every four years, have some hits, do magazines, tv, etc...but no one is challenging, labels now whats left of them never put records out at the same time anymore. Back in the day you could have the heavy hitters all in one month, and you did, and doing records quicker also elevated the bar of the quality. Yeah it seems that the fact that people can be "famous" on the internet by just posting a video and it going viral really cheapens the whole notion of celebrity really. I think this hurts today's artists a lot. I think people just don't buy music as much anymore. Maybe that's the reason labels don't have artists release as much music. Not sure. Trolls be gone!

I actually disagree with this.
I think he has the charisma of a super star. He HAS It. His very talented (multi talented), has catchy songs, has that old skool flair, is handsome, has a charismatic personality and is very charming. His half time was much higher than a couple of other overrated acts of today than shall remain nameless. He also has hits of his own and is know for his music and performances. He is very likable off stage and seems down to earth. I think he has it in him to be more than what he is but he has came a LONG ways and is doing very well imho. Who would have thought the underground singer who sung the hook on BOB's "Nothing on you" would be headling the Superbowl. [Edited 2/24/16 20:06pm]

Or maybe because she makes much more quality music than her comtemporaries. I personally don't think she is a Mozart either but in the context of the industry and her peers, she definitly is more talented and makes more quality music.

Yeah you're right. There seems to be a market for singers who just sing instead of doing all the other BS. Trolls be gone!

Yeah he's come a long way since "Nothing on You". Trolls be gone!

What strikes me most about Bruno Mars is that he always seems to be having fun and comes off as just a very likable person. His music is solid pop/R&B which doesn't hurt at all but his charisma will play a huge roll in his continued and growing success. He sure has come a long way since being the kid Elvis imitator in that nick cage movie.

Also he still is no . He would need to put in more longevity to reach that level Plus he needs to stop his addictions first. It will catch up to him if he doesn't. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

To let U know he is not taken that seriously to be the superstar is. Maybe his next album, that he is working with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis on, will finally put him in that position, that he so craves to be at. He needs his own sound. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"!
