Who's your favourite Beatle? This could be interesting. Which one of the Fab Four do you like the most? Mine: George Harrison. I love his mix of pop song and Indian mysticism on My Sweet Lord. I love how he parodied the whole thing on When We Was Fab. I love how he played with my man Bob on the Concert for Bangladesh and later on The Travelling Wilburys, which also revived Roy Orbison's carreer. I love how he helped the Pythons make Life of Brian. And Something is one of the best love songs ever. So for me, it's obvious! The silent one! Who's your favourite Beatle?

John. He was such an amazing soul and one of the greatest songwriters of our time. [Edited 2/9/16 15:15pm]

Ringo. Got to go with the underdog. He seems to be the most genuine and humble one.

For selfish reasons, John Lennon, hands down! He was THE one Beatle that had a rock & roll attitude.

He may have been the underdog, but "Dont Pass Me By", "Octopus's Garden" and "With a Little Help..." are STANDOUT Beatle tracks IMHO. He may not have written them, but those are "Ringo" songs, and I love em But John's my fav... Make it so, Number One...

Lennon. He has the biggest percent of my favorite Beatles songs AND solo songs of anybody. I sympathize with those who vote George though, he's awfully cool. Ringo was really cool too but he's the drummer. And Paul, he gets to be a lot of peoples' favorite so I don't feel too bad for him.

In recent years, I've come to dig George and Ringo's subtlety relative to John and Paul's attention whoredom. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

As solo artists, Paul, then John, then George, then Ringo.
John used to be number 3, but much of his solo material has grown on me in recent years, while, listening to all of George's solo albums, they're pretty patchy and unispired overall after All Things Must Pass, his classic, with only a couple of tracks worthy of his best on each album. Ringo is underated as a solo artist actually, especially his early and latter-day albums.
Paul is my fave overall though. He may not have the fierce emotional directness of Lennon at his best, but his solo music is incredibly consistent in quality overall and in the last 12 years, from Chaos and Creation onwards, he's been having a real creative renaissance in his sound and song-writing.
In their era as a true band, I have to agree with Purplepolitician - they're all dreamy . [Edited 2/12/16 12:22pm]
