Ok, is it just me or is Selena getting no props from anyone other than the Tejano community!

Whenever I see J.Lo on MTV my mind goes back to Selena and I say to myself, "Man, Selena could've BEEN DOING THAT!" If Yolanda didn't kill her, Selena would've SOOO taken advantage of the Latin Explosion of '99, plus she would have foreshadowed J.Lo, Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony and all these other Latin crossover cats. She could dance, she could sing, she was making moves into collaborations with R&B producers and hip hop artists and I heard she could act! She could've been SO HUGE. Her career was like Aaliyah's...she was a talent that was just waiting to explode in a major way, but was cut short before her time could come.

Well they did make a movie about her...isn't that props? What would you like a major holiday named after her?

I would like "more props" as in dialogue when Latin artists are mentioned. It seems like nowadays J.Lo is the alpha and everyone before her are secondary or less important.
