Yeah, and I just saw him perform a long set at his legendary Birthday Party celebration last year... After coaxing out ancient Merle Haggard (who is younger than Willie!) to perform... Amazing. Willie did a set with his sister, too... 2 or 3yrs ago I bought my Mother tickets to see Willie LIVE for the 1st time...She Loves him but never bothered to see him in Concert..I got her 2 seats on the floor...She said Willie's Son & I think his daughter opened the show and performed the bulk of the show, she said Willie's Son has a nice voice...My Mom said Willie was "alright" but his old age/vocals made it a bit harder for her to enjoy the few songs he sang that evening....I'm glad she was able to see him at least once... | |
