Oh, geez! That was so long ago... It had to be in the 70s, when I was in high school in Missouri. A new music center had been built by a multi millionaire and Elvis came to town. I also had a friend in high school who was such an Elvis fan that she made up stories about being invited to Graceland and she would go into elaborate details about her experiences meeting Elvis and how he flirted with her. She knew every detail about his life, the decor at Graceland, etc. She was so gone on Elvis that she dated an Elvis impersonator in his 30s called Terry Tiger. She showed me photos with him all the time when we were supposed to be doing homework in Journalism class. The day Elvis died, she never recovered. Nice. He played there alot In the 50's and 1970's. Elvis Presley: Kiel Auditorium, St. Louis, Missouri - September 10, 1970. I'm guessing she saw him in the mid to late 70's. Did she enjoy the show?

She loved it. That was a once in a lifetime experience for her and she reminisced about seeing Elvis for the rest of her life. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton | |

I have the 1960s cartoon series Speed Racer on DVD. There's some background info as extras, and one of the things mentioned is that Speed was modeled after Elvis.
