That kid has a lot of talent. And I hope he get the music lessons he wants. But by the time Prince was 18, he already could play multiple instruments and was writing and recording music in a studio. It's unfortunate that we really don't have the musical community that nurtures and challenges young musicians. It still exists in small pockets, but in back in the 70s practically every major city had a vibrant and active music scene that young artists could tap into. |
