Yeah can't wait for this. George said that it would come out later this year but that seems to have fell through I've heard snippets of info about it but nothing much has materialised so far.

I remember when I was a kid in the 70s, my parents kept this and a few Issac Hayes records on disply smack dab in front of the record player and they used to scare to bejeezus out of me

This one scared me when I was a kid.

One of my alltime favorite albums, hard to believe it is already 40 years old! In 1988 at the age of 16 this was my introduction to the mad funky world of George Clinton and to 70's funk in general. I had already read about him as being one of Prince's influences and when I accidently ran into this album (when babysitting at one of our neighbours) I decided to try it and was instantly hooked!

Unfunky UFO & Night of the Thumpasorus Peoples are great album cuts, the whole album is bangin!

Same here except for the babysitting part. This album is a great example of George Clinton's talent of creating a world his own through his music. Not a lot of musicians can do that. People like The Stones and Marvin Gaye and James Brown have made wonderful music that I love, but with people like Clinton, Prince, Frank Zappa, Kate Bush and Bob Dylan, I really feel like I'm stepping into another world, a world they created and when you're listening to their music, you step into their world...

Yeah, that is great when an artist can give you that feeling. And George Clinton did not just create us a world, but a complete funky universe! (in which I immerse myself all too willingly...)
