I love this band. I hope they finish their new album soon. It's been too long.

Hasn't every previous Bond movie theme song been titular? Meaning the song is the exact same as the movie name? Goldeneye, Die Another Day, A View to a Kill, Skyfall, etc? I don'trecall some of the earlier movies so i can be wrong, but if so, they should've went with the Radiohead track even though its a dreadful wrist cutter of a song IMO. the Sam Smith song was the "sexier choice" but it has no relevance to the film

there have been a few bond themes that did not take their title from the film:

This track is altogether superior to that piece of overwrought dreck released by Sam Smith.

Not bad, but I feel like I've heard it before from them . Still look forward to new stuff from them . For all time I am with you, you are with me.

Interesting that among the very very serious BOND theme lovers, and BOND movie lovers, they site the Keys/Black as the worst theme, pretty unamiously. The interesting thing about the Radiohead issue, you can also go back to 1988 "Living Daylights" by a-ha which in other countries is HUGE in America it was not pushed as the single or promoted as the singe, the Pretenders had a song i forget the name but that was pushed and was a disaster. The issue was a-ha was on tour at the time and failed o attend the premiere in America cause they would have to cancel a tour of Japan, other issues arose to creatively between Barry and a-ha about writing the song etc.. But I have a feeling the commercial aspect was the main reason behind the Radiohead song. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Nothing would have saved that movie. Ugh. At some point all of Radiohead's dirgy dark slow songs started sounding the same to me. They're all good. But they just all give me the same feeling. Maybe this is blasphemy. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"
