The only version I've heard a lot is the disco version by Meco. I'm not really familiar with the Star Wars movies. I saw parts of a couple of them on TV the 1980s, but don't remember much about them. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

- Really? Usually you're a wealth of information. Imagine that. Chances are you are familiar with composer John Williams work though.... - Williams’ scores for such films as Jaws, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Schindler's List, as well as the Indiana Jones series, have won him multiple awards and produced best-selling recordings, and his scores for the original Star Wars trilogy transformed the landscape of Hollywood film music and became icons of American culture. - Williams has composed the music and served as music director for nearly eighty films, including Saving Private Ryan, Amistad, Seven Years in Tibet, The Lost World,Rosewood, Sleepers, Nixon, Sabrina, Schindler's List, Jurassic Park, Home Alone, Far and Away, JFK, Hook, Presumed Innocent, Always, Born on the Fourth of July, the Indiana Jones trilogy, The Accidental Tourist, Empire of the Sun, The Witches of Eastwick, the Star Wars trilogy, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, The Empire Strikes Back,Superman, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jaws and Goodbye Mr. Chips.

Back then my mom bought the "STAR WARS" double LP thinking it was the Meco version. She ended up giving to me (and I was a huge fanatic of all things "STAR WARS"). That record actually turned me on to soundscape/orchestral music. Pure brilliance. I need to dig it out and re-visit it again.
