Van Hunt announces another new album, SWARF. Drops on 12/16/15 Van Hunt announced the release of another new recorded entitled, SWARF. Which will drop in a few days on December, 16th. No word if this a brand new studio album, or a unreleased project like "Cilvilzation". None the less, more brilliant Van Hunt drops this week!! I guess this is the joy of being independent. You can do wantever you want, whenever you want.
The 11 song track list listed in link. https://twitter.com/vanhu...7701423107 [Edited 12/10/15 22:48pm]

It's good news and I commend him for dropping music so quickly after the last release. I just wonder what direction he's going in. He kinda lost me a while ago.

This is good news; and I hope it is better than its underwhelming predecessor.

I kind of liked the last 2 efforts -- "I'm Not a Rainbow" is probably my favorite track from those releases -- but I agree, I hope SWARF takes it up another notch. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

I wonder if this is the solo piano ep he mentioned when he released Civilization. Although, this album has 11 tracks , so it wouldn't really be an ep. He also once mentioned he was working on album that he described as a mix of Pete Rock and Billie Holliday. I notice the fist track is called "Billie". Which makes me wonder if this is that album. Whatever it is... I'm looking foward to it.

"Head Room." The base line on "She Stays With Me" is fucking dope; that's actually a good song. gets no love from NARAS.

The album is out! It's outtakes from The Fun Rises, The Fun Sets. It's mostly new songs but a couple alternate versions of album tracks. I'm still digesting it. But some of my early faves are Hearts Made of Air, I Test Your Love, Remote Control, Rotate/My Hungry Eyes, Show Your Teeth, Fox.
It's interesting that Van is releasing so many demo tracks of late. But I'm enjoying it. [Edited 12/20/15 22:45pm] [Edited 12/20/15 22:52pm]

LOTS of great stuff on this album. I'm loving it (not to get all Mickey D's or anything...). "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"
