so what happened to that MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS song MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS DOWNTOWN came a went no where. Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

It will be recognized as a noteworthy mega-flop.

wasn't it a top 20 hit in the states and UK?
It should have flopped harder though - it was a mess.

Ummm, I am still hearing it along side the biggest hits by The Weekend, Drake, and Justin Bieber. Not Canadian enough maybe.

Hmmmm...9 weeks in the top 10 pop singles and hiphop/r&b singles is not to bad if you ask me. Plus 54 million views on youtube. So the real question is, what the fuck to you mean "what happened?"

I hear it all the fucking time at work hardly what i'd call a flop. and it's been in the top 20 for like a month or two now. It's at number 13 right now i read. Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Too bad because that song is trash. Mack is already ripping himself off, sounds like a haphazard, sloppy remake of "Thrift Shop". He should take notes from Ariana Grande: If you're going to make a knock off of one of your own hits, make it better than the original.
