Saw her a few years back intimate mode and yes 95 percent was mimed. Quite dissapointed.

I've only ever seen Janet once, on the Number Ones Tour. Sadly 99 percent was mimed. I think she just sang half of one song, but I can't remember which.

It was great to see her but rather disappointing.

I'm looking forward to the Unbreakable Tour in March 2016, but sadly I fear most of the show will be mimed.

Saw her on her All For You tour. Of course she lip syncs, but I didn't go to actually hear her sing, I went to be entertained by her stage act.

I didn't see her "live," but I saw her "in person," and that was good enough.

Definitely lip syncs. She's pretty good at disguising it, with the "live" re-recordings of tracks for her tours, as well as stopping abruptly to motion to the sound man to turn up her mic, even though she's not singing into it. It's all rehearsed and part of the act.

That said, it doesn't really matter to me. Her shows are about her inimitable charisma and attitude, and the dancing. She gives you all of the hits, as well. I always show up for Janet, and never leave disappointed.

I've never seen her live, but I don't see why she would lip sync the whole thing. Maybe the very uptempo dance songs, but there's no reason why she couldn't sing the ballads and mid tempos of which she has a lot.

You can't really compare her to Britney, she's a much better singer than Britney.
