But given the attention put into Jackson's post Thriller albums, it was expected that each one would sell at least 10 million units domestically. To this day, Bad is still stuck at 9 million in US sales.

Like I said before... Americans are idiots for not realizing the quality of his post Thriller albums.

The more we find out about what's left in the vault, the more I am realizing some of the best stuff is from the BAD era, specifically when MJ worked with the "B" team in his studio at Hayvenhurst. The outtakes on BAD 25 are all pretty good and Lovin' You is probably my favorite unreleased track so far. The tracks that we still haven't heard; Buffalo Bill, Tomboy (with Roger Troutman) and What You Do To Me, are probably pretty good as well. I hope the Estate releases them soon.

I recently had the privledge to listen to a couple unreleased tracks. One was from the Addams Family movie. The chorus went something like "It's a family thing.." in MJ's falsetto. It was actually quite catchy. The other, Deep In The Night, was a more unfinished song with just a chorus and bridge. It was midetempo. Very late 80's, early 90's sounding.

With the name Jackson, some success was guaranteed for Janet, but others had less success mostly as there music was slight. Does anyone here even think Jermaine's albums are any good. His music is pleasaant at best, Janets are good, but the first two are very much the same fast paced pop and ballafs that you hear on Bad and Dangerous. Janet at least finds her own sound later.

The Jackson name was enough to get Rebbie a hit with Centipede, which to me is unremarkable once you take away the catchy beat and chorus, the verses are dreadful. Plus Latoya's stuff is unlistenable and don't even get me started on Malon, Jackie or any other solo Jackson work. As a family they are decent with great blending harmonies, but even the group albums were very enhanced with the vocals of Michael Jackson on it.

Imagine Destiny and Triumph without Michael Jackson all over it. To me that album is a dress rehearsal for Thriller rather than a Jacksons solo work.
You're selling the brothers pretty short. Jermaine was talented as hell, granted he only has one real signature album in Let's Get Serious (with his 1984 Arista debut as a somewhat distant second) but he has a grand collection of songs and can bring it live.

Jackie doesn't really get the credit he deserves as a member of the Jacksons. He can carry a tune really well at the very least and wrote/ co-wrote and produced many of the group's songs as well as Randy. As for the latter, his only album is damn good and would have been more successful had it not been released in the same time frame as Rhythm Nation.

Marlon is said to not be a great singer but he's decent enough however his number one contribution to the group was his excellent dancing ability which he rivaled Michael's with. Never listened to his album but many say it's all right.

Tito was a a solid to good guitar player from what I've heard audibly and verbally. I will always say that "We Can Change the World" from Victory should've been a single; would've further boosted the album and maybe even have given Tito some time in the sun (behind Michael, of course).

Sure, all of the brothers were talented and brought something to the table, but Michael was the charismatic one and more bankable.

God I hate the fact that MJ stans can't see this HUGELY talented family for what they are. Y'all have to remember Michael was shitting in his diapers while Tito was trying to learn gutair as the rest of the family sang including the mother and father. Michael was a product of environment and he was perfect for sale.

Think about it for a second

Look at the other brothers without Michael all greatly talented but OLDER African American boys in the 1960s. This was A.) Common and B.) Wasn't going to cut it for white suburbia. Now look at Michael. Cute , full of energy, young, and since he's so young he's easy to train hes still in the stages of letting others think for him and tell him what to do. So yes Michael was the brand but the brothers were a driving talent behind him.

It seriously pisses me off when MJ stans wanna downplay these mens 30 plus years of hard work, why? Because they aren't Michael? Fuck that they worked hard as hell trying to get out of his shadow until finally being beat right behind it. It wasn't a talent problem its a marketable problem.

When it comes to his fans his family, the people he's showed love for his whole life are either

A. Leeches
B. Irrelevant talentless leeches
C. Who?

I mean I remember being on a MJ fan website and they were calling Katherine...,.His MOM all types of names because of what happened when she "left" or she "let" Joe beat them. And you don't wanna know what they call his kids

The music industry has always been that way. Always looking for an artist that has charisma and is marketable. Talent alone is not enought because they figure there's more where that come from. The down side to the industry is that when they're done with you, they'll drop you and start looking for the next "It" factor.

As for Katherine, she's been criticized for years for being an enabler, when it came down to discipline.

What does fans dissing katherine somewhere have to do with me not seeing anything special about the brothers talents? eek

I still respect them but i can have an opinion about what i hear and see from any artist i want. I dont care if they sang before

he was born, michael took them too another level, everyone could see that, but let me put it this way, doesn't matter if

20 year old mj was alive in the 20's 40's or 60's, he was gonna be a force to be reckoned with.

Can the jackson 4 spokespeople please stop calling other people stans for not having a politicly correct opinion about them? thx

All I'm saying is respect the talents of those guys, just because they ain't MJ doesn't mean they ain' t shit. And the Katherine story was just an example of how some fans think of his family. Its always made me uncomfortable but hey nobody's saying Micheal Joseph Jackson isn't the bomb, of course he is. But I won't turn a blind eye to the obvious talent in his family.....well.....maybe not Latoya.....lol

Have you seen Marlon dance?

And obviously Mike's charisma and "bankability" made him stand out from the group. I don't know how you can try to say otherwise.

Whoever said that last part may not be entirely wrong but that statement is still an exaggeration and a complete disregard of the other brothers' talents. They were definitely talented, it's just that they didn't have the potential or chance to reach the heights Michael ended up reaching. If anything some of their careers should have been more successful than they ended up being but they didn't have the drive (or support) that Michael and Janet did.

Just for the record, I have never been on a MJ FANsite where they called Michael's children derogatory names. Btw,A lot of Michael's fans became disenchanted with his brothers, Katherine, Joe and Janet for various reasons; especially after Michael was murdered. Here are SOME of those reasons:

1. His family badgered him on an almost daily basis to tour with THEM; even crashing through gates to try and persuade him, and then came on national TV and claimed this was an "intervention", when she knew damn well that they, her included, were badgering Michael to tour with his brothers. Has anyone, except AWARE fans, figured out why would his family badger him to tour with them IF he was an "addict" as Janet said. Why would there be so-called "interventions" IF you are badgering someone on a constant basis to go on a tour? Janet even said that she would open for them, if Michael would tour with his brothers; YET, his OWN family, Janet, the ring leader, did interviews IMMEDIATELY, after his murder, portraying Michael as an out of control "addict" who needed intervention. WTF does that to a loved one? I don't know any other family; especially, the family of the most famous man in the world (who valued his privacy) who would do what His OWN family did to him. Are fans supposed to forget what his OWN family did?

2. Katherine was used to influence him in this decision because she knew of his love for her and that he never turned her down when she came to him to ask for money for the other Jacksons. They all knew that Katherine had more of an influence on Michael than Joe did. Is it any wonder he couldn't sleep with this added burden of family badgering for money/ tours ,along with the false accusations and constant media bashing that he had to endure.

3. Katherine was the one asking for money to take care of, pay Child support payments for grown ass men, etc. Why is Michael EXPECTED to support his family and Janet is not. She is married to a supposed billionaire.

4. Katherine was the one who made the decision to ALLOW a murderer to get away with paying No restitution in the hopes of hitting the jackpot with AEG.

5. Katherine was the one who filed a lawsuit against AEG for MONEY, with no regards to how it would affect her dead son's memory and how it would affect his children. The pathetic thing is that she didn't seem to hold the REAL person, Conrad Murray, who was responsible for her son's murder, responsible.

6. Janet masterminded, along with Randy and Jermaine, an attempted coup of her own brother's estate. This wasn't done for Michael or his LEGAL heirs, his children. This was done for selfish gain-to control Michael's money, so she could use HIS money, instead of hers, to support her family. Of course, we know that it is Michael's money who supported and sustained this family while he was alive and STILL sustains this family, even in death.

Are these enough reasons for fans to dislike and have a distaste for Michael's family? If not, I can list a few more. Just because Michael loved his family doesn't mean that fans have to sit back and accept, ignore the things that his family has done since his death. Seriously, everything that his family, except Jackie and Marlon, has done since Michael's murder has been about greed, envy, deceit, lies, seeking attention and career-boosting. I'm trying to find a reason why people think that fans owe this family any respect after how they have acted since June, 2009.
