Yes this is my favorite song from them. I bought the album years ago for 99 cent
from a vinyl record store in my city called Coconuts that was closing. They had a clearance on Warner Bros vinyl. I got Club Nouveau 3rd album and Timmy Gatlin for 99 cent too. I have to revisit the album and check out After 12. I cant recall it right now.

Last track on the album. Most uptempo joint. Piano driven.

I knew about Monte but didn't know about Timmy. I guess it made sense in regard

to them being labelmates.

They had one hell of a story tonight. So much tragedy and personal issues.

Interesting Teddy Riley wanted to work with them but Tommy Boy couldn't fund

the money for it.

I got the cassette but no corver. So I just checked the credits online and them plus Marly Mal produced tracks on that album beside Full Force which I knew about.

I'm definitely getting more MDs. I only have that one record. All the tracks that I heard tonight for the first time, I loved.

Were the better than New Edition?

I had forgotten about Tears. That was their breakout song.

CoolMF

This was another one of those that, when the season's line up was announced, I didn't understand why they merited an Unsung.

Once again, I was wrong. That was one helluva episode. Besides bringing up jams that I had completely forgotten about (like "Here I Go Again"), I had no idea that they had been through that much BS throughout the years.

RIP to T. C. and Mercury....

TC's vocals on Here I Go Again are heavenly like Smokey's voice but even smoother
with no disrespect to Smokey who I respect the hell out of.

Perhaps Teddy Riley did charge more by 1988 he was considered a hot producer next to LA Reid and Babyface. Riley certainly could've helped the crossover to the 90s.

The problem was Tommy Boy records is a smaller label. They're known to signed whoever was hot in the clubs at the moment. To me they never had the same promotional push as New Edition. All this time I never knew 'Tender Love' was composed by Jam & Lewis. The label got lucky getting a song by them but I'm sure they weren't able to afford them the next time.

Another thing T.C. Could've went solo when the group broke up I'm surprised the label never made him an offer? Bullshit. All record labels are money hungry they always seemed to focus on lead singers of a group for potential solo careers
