Natalie Merchant - "Carnival" 2015 Version from new re-recorded album

.

This year Ms. Merchant treats fans to a 20th Anniversary re-release of her first solo album "Tigerlily", titled "Paradise Is There" after the opening line in her classic San Andreas Fault. Check out this acoustic version of Carnival. Imagine that, a veteran artist on her new record label (the eclectic Nonesuch Records) re-releasing a fan favorite while acknowledging, improving upon, and showing pride in their "legacy" works.

Yes--very cool, indeed. And we're indeed wishing that certain other veteran performers would follow suit! I like what she did in the 10,000 Maniacs album "In My Tribe."
