PrintableFleetwood Mac will release an expanded version of 1979 album Tusk on December 4.
The double-length work was a departure from highly successful predecessorRumours, and it was the most expensive album recorded up to that point, costing over $1m to produce.
The deluxe edition contains five CDs, a DVD and two vinyl discs, which offer the original remastered album, unheard session recordings plus singles, demos, remixes and and live tracks.
Tusk will also be available in 3CD and single-disc editions.

I recently purchased a 23-disc (!) Isley Brothers box set.There is also a 4-disc James Brown box set on the market (Star Time).
There's also the case that rock acts usually had bigger budgets to record a lot of excess stuff vs. a R&B singer or funk band, even if they were on the same major label. Many R&B/soul/funk acts also weren't filmed as much, and some not at all, so don't have the same amount of footage for a home video release. When there is a R&B reissue, if there's extra tracks, they're generally 12" remixes, 45 single edits or a B-side, unreleased songs are less often found on them. The rock audience will buy a Beatles Anthology type CD of flubbed takes and demos or a Paul McCartney reissue with a big photo book included and a restored music videos DVD, but the R&B audience is less likely to buy an equivalent release by Teddy Pendergrass and Cameo. So the labels are not going to spend the big money to remaster/repackage those records like they do with Dark Side Of The Moon.
