Yeah it's easy for this one to slip your mind because you're familiar with all their great ballads from the 70's. They sound like they were serious about getting their groove on with Bottoms Up. Don't laugh at my funk

sweet slammin track. Easy to forget some of the baddest grooves were laid down by singing groups, like five special, dramatics (shake it well), ojays (strokety stroke) and tempts (shakey ground). Unfortunately in most cases those would be the only funk jams on the album. Also love power to the people from the chilites. What other vocal group funk gems come to mind? If you've got funk, you've got style. | |
