Believe it or not, we’re only a week away from the release of Janet Jackson’s first album in seven years, Unbreakable (out October 2). So far we’ve heard“No Sleeep” and the title track, but the icon’s breathed new life into the joint with “Burn It Up,” a heel-nipping track featuring Missy Elliott that she just premiered on BBC Radio 1. Elliott’s in fine form, doing a tongue-twisting verse to usher in Jackson’s perfectly aerated harmonizing. Give “Burn It Up” a spin right here (or here).

Jackson revealed the track Thursday on BBC Radio 1 with MistaJam playing the song twice, back to back, immediately after.
The club-ready jam was first debuted on the opening night of Jackson's massive Unbreakable World Tour in August, further building anticipation for her first album in seven years.

Following, when the Unbreakable track list was announced earlier this month, Elliott's inclusion brought a lot of attention. The hip-hop icon has not released any music of her own since 2008 and her last feature was on Faith Evans' "I Deserve It" last year, with few collaborations over the years prior.
