Janet & Missy's new song Burn It Up is out--click on link below.

Janet Jackson and Missy Elliott Scorch Through ‘Burn It Up’

What a combo

picture-23014-1408736514Brennan Carley // September 24, 2015

Believe it or not, we’re only a week away from the release of Janet Jackson’s first album in seven years, Unbreakable (out October 2). So far we’ve heard“No Sleeep” and the title track, but the icon’s breathed new life into the joint with “Burn It Up,” a heel-nipping track featuring Missy Elliott that she just premiered on BBC Radio 1. Elliott’s in fine form, doing a tongue-twisting verse to usher in Jackson’s perfectly aerated harmonizing. Give “Burn It Up” a spin right here (or here).

Janet Jackson Drops Club-Ready 'Burn It Up' With Missy Elliott

By Colin Stutz | September 24, 2015 6:55 PM EDT

Janet Jackson 2015

Janet Jackson kicks off the Unbreakable Tour in Vancouver, Canada on Aug. 31, 2015.

R Chiang/Splash News

One week away from the release of Janet Jackson's Unbreakable, Miss Jackson has released another song -- the Missy Elliott-featuring "Burnitup!"

Janet Jackson's 'No Sleeep' Spends Fifth Week at No. 1 on Adult R&B Songs

Jackson revealed the track Thursday on BBC Radio 1 with MistaJam playing the song twice, back to back, immediately after.

The club-ready jam was first debuted on the opening night of Jackson's massive Unbreakable World Tour in August, further building anticipation for her first album in seven years.

Janet Jackson Releases 'Unbreakable' Title Track: Listen

Following, when the Unbreakable track list was announced earlier this month, Elliott's inclusion brought a lot of attention. The hip-hop icon has not released any music of her own since 2008 and her last feature was on Faith Evans' "I Deserve It" last year, with few collaborations over the years prior.

Listen to "Burnitup!" at BBC Radio 1 here, the song starts at the 55:29 mark.

Unbreakable will be out Oct. 2.

The Atlanta show was outside in the RAIN last night at Chastain Park. Was Phillips not available?

Two artists created a special T-shirt for the singer. Her reaction? You've got to see the photos.

Fans may have swooned at Janet Jackson’s concert Thursday in Tampa, but the singer herself was blown away by one gift tossed onstage, a T-shirt emblazoned with the names “Penny, Charlene, Cleo, Justice.”

Obscure, to be sure, but Jackson die-hards know those are names of characters the 49-year-old superstar has portrayed in roles on film and television.

The T-shirt was lovingly created by two gay men, visual artist and designer Chad Mize who lives in nearby St. Petersburg, and photographer Ryan Prado, who is originally from Tampa but now lives in New York City. The friends mimicked one of Mize's popular logo designs to make a few special Jackson shirts for themselves, as well as one they'd try to hand deliver to the singer during her performance at Amalie Arena.

That honor went to Prado, seen above with partner Adam R. Deremer (left). Prado calls himself a Jackson superfan. He returned to Florida this week to catch two of the singer's concerts. (All told, Prado has tickets to six shows on the Unbreakable tour. On past tours he's seen as many as 12.)

On Thursday, Prado had front row center seats, which allowed him to toss the T-shirt right onstage.

"I didn't know if she'd look at it because so many people throw things onstage," Prado says. "But then she picked it up and turned it around to to read it. I could see it register on her face and she started smiling," Prado said.

"I jumped up and down to show her I was wearing the same shirt."

It was a moment Prado says he'll never forget. "It was incredible. She's just my absolute, all-time favorite. No one even comes close to touching her."

Mize wasn't at Thursday's concert — he's seeing Jackson next month in San Francisco — and says he's still marveling over photos of Jackson beaming while holding the shirt.

"It's an amazing feeling," Mize says. "You grow up admiring someone and loving their music, and then to know you made them happy — it's just surreal."

The design has now been made available for order on Mize's web site. To see more of Jackson's reaction to the shirt, see Prado's Instagram.

We were soak and wet last night, but she tore it up in the rain! Although Chastain is a great place to see shows, I would like indoor venues too- especailly for a show like this.

Janet was on the last four episodes after the retooling. So like nobody really saw the show it wasnt a smash therefore it was cancelled. the shirt is correct.

The show did make it to air! Janet was on the last THREE episodes before It was cancelled. It was RoB Lowes first appearance before he became a hearthrob.

LMAO! You would sell your tickets because of a costume? Is the point of a concert the costume?

At any rate, there was a costume change last night. I'm sure there will be more over the course of the tour.
