Any Hardcore Vinyl Collectors on the Org.... I have a huge vinyl collection that I inherited from my family.
I have probably 300 78's of early jazz and blues from 1920-40's I have another 200 33's of early jazz and blues from 50-80's I have 100 r&b and disco from the 70-80's I have about 1,000 45's from early 60-70's
Where is a good place to find the value of some of these records?
Any good reference guide books or on-line references?
Do any of you guys know of any rare valuable blues or jazz artists that have valuable records?
There are no record stores in my area.
I know there is a huge following outside the US? What counties are big on Jazz, blues, r&b vinyl?
Any collectors on the org of Jazz, blues, R&B vinyl?

The record store guy I take my stuff to looks it up on Ebay when it's questionable. That can tell you what people are asking, and more important, what someone has actually paid for a copy in the recent past.
The ones by artists you have never heard of are likely to be the most sought-after so, do a good amount of research before getting rid of any of those.

I had alot of vinyl maybe over 200 LP's, but Sandy took them away. I did rescue some though. I still buy them If I get them cheap. Check Craigslist/Ebay or Vinyl collectors websites for prices. [Edited 7/30/15 16:29pm] Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

they can give you a definitive answer on how much people are willing to buy for albums. One released by my vinyl club "Menomeana: Friend or Foe" goes for $100.00 plus. I was lucky to have a copy given to me free. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

well from the late 70s til around 1990 I got something between 2,000 to 3,000 albums (I lost count somehwere along the way) and several hundres of 7 and 12 inch singles. at least 90 % of it is Soul, Funk, R&B and some early Hip Hop. and I still own all of it, never even thought about selling parts of it. I keep even all the hundreds albums I have re-bought on CD already. these days I hardly ever buy vinyl. after 1990 I had almost completey switched to CD, that should be another 3,000 items.
I did not buy even one MP3 or other digital format yet, and I do not plan on doing so in the near future though I do use online sources or AutoRip to preview albums before I get the physical copy
