B.B. King Joyce Moreno You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

i know! re: Carlos Santana everytime he comes to the cali bay area, i'm there. i luv going to his amphitheater concerts. there is nothing even close to seeing him under the stars. it's almost like a spiritual experience. usually i purchase the amphi theater seats within the first three center front rows. i mean when you look up at him you can see a halo of stars around him. it's best described as though he has a cosmic-musical-connection as he melodically blast out outragely beautiful-latin-and fusion sounds from his guitar backed by the most awesome musicians and vocalist. luvs me some Carlos Santana. “Transracial is a term that has long since been defined as the adoption of a child that is of a different race than the adoptive parents,” : https://thinkprogress.org...fb6e18544a

Love Carlos - he's awesome. I have his Live from Mexico dvd. Hubby and I have watched is at least a dozen times over the years and never tire of it. Real music from a real musician.

To me a song like Samba Pa Ti is a proof that you don't have to be the most theatrical & fastest playing guitarist to be a great guitarist. One of the most beautifully played pieces of music I ever heard. Moves me everytime, doesn't matter how many times I listen to it.

This is all on my personal taste
Prince- this guy can do it all, rythem, bass, and probably the most emotional soloist I have ever heard. robert smith of the cure - A pretty good soloist but he hits the coolest chord combinations. runner ups: hanz deiner of the essence slash Dimebag jesse johnso and of course santana, erick clapton, and hendrix . If John 5 could play like Greg Howe or Andy McKee, then why does he play like John 5?
Just kidding. John is good.

Orianthi Panagaris
remember her with michael jackson onstage back inna (not to distant) day? imo she added rock sass to micheals performance. she would strike a pose while doing the guitar bridge w/mj, and play as strikingly as she looked. the lady has got some real guitar skills.
she is awesome
> (i hope it's cool i plsted her here with michael jackson just for an example.) anyway ms Oranthi is WOW! luvsexy4all said: john 5 can do all the thingss these guys do and more Is that so? You do realise he had lessons with Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal? Now that's a man who can almost play anything. He has some sort of freaky eidetic memory when it comes to music, like he only has to hear something once and then he can play it straight off the bat. I've seen it with my own eyes and it's really quite incredible. [Edited 7/21/15 0:29am]
