Good morning, everyone! I attended the Dells 50th anniversary concert on Friday night and I am glad to say that I had a great time! Here's the lineup:

The Outside Woman-Killer!
Natural High-I don't know if this was the original guy that sung this song, but I didn't care! He had me in tears, it was so beautiful. I felt the way I hoped I was going to feel when he sung this. I was in tears.
We Go A Long Way Back-Mad props to Al. They smoked this song and everyone was on their feet.

Gloria-Emmanuel Johnson killed this song.
I was a liitle disappointed with Enchantment's performance. They wanted to dance more than sing, but it was great seeing all the original members.

Best Of My Love-Great!

I was a little worried about the stars of the show, The Dells, this being their 50th anniversary and all. When they took to the stage, Marvin Junior was laying in the cut like he wasn't even in the group! lol! I guess he was resting up to sing. The first song they did was The Love We Had(Stays On My Mind). Mr. Johnny Carter sung his part in his beautiful falsetto, then Mr. Junior came to the mike with "early this mornin', when I opened up my eyes" in that big beautiful booming voice of his and it was all over for me. They sounded great and haven't lost a motherfuckin' note. I only paid 50.00 bucks for my ticket but it would have been worth it for the 80.00 seats as well. I haven't been to a better show in a very, very long time.

The Mighty Dells:
The Love We Had(Stays On My Mind)-Boo-To Tha Muthafuckin'-Hoo. Had me crying, it was so excellent.
Love Is So Simple-Five voices never sounded so good together.
Oh, What A Night-made in 1955. Reborn in 2003. Excellent.
Standing Ovation-
A Heart Is A House For Love-I just knew Marvin wasn't gonna be able to hold these notes in this song. He made a liar out me. Even though he twice my age, I'd marry him in a heartbeat.
Stay In My Corner-Their signature song. Classic. Johnny Carter still hitting those notes? Damn. Mad respect.
